This game is the remake of the original for the Playstation. It's a good remake. The graphics are actually improved slightly. The gameplay is generally the same. The controls are slightly modified because of the lack of R2 and L2 buttons and a second stick on the PSP. Because of this, you can only quick select between three gadgets (opposed to four in the original). It's fun, it's pretty brainless, and it's got the nostalgic factor. This does just about all the things that a remake should do.
If you enjoyed playing the original, I suggest picking this up to relive those times when you were a kid throwing nets over monkeys in the cartoon, slap-happy world of
Ape Escape.
